The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in North American wealth management.

Grant Philanthropic Advisors
Grant Philanthropic Advisors (GPA) has added Darcy Addison and Leslie Gross as partners, who the firm says come at a time when the philanthropy landscape is becoming more complicated.

Addison has honed her knowledge in community-based initiatives and grant-making frameworks, working in Chicago as a consultant and advisor to foundations and nonprofits. Addison has more than 25 years in the philanthropic sector.

Gross, who is a resident of Montclair, New Jersey and Philadelphia native with family ties in East Texas and Southwest Georgia, uses her experience of responding to national crises and working with political leaders to inform strategic philanthropic giving. Gross was a former Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Homeland Security. She coordinated with the nation's top officials during Hurricane Sandy, the Syrian refugee crisis, and the Boston Marathon bombing. As Chief Counsel in the US Senate, her investigations uncovered billions in global development waste, fraud, and abuse.

GPA, which was founded in 2019, works with donors at all stages of their philanthropy. 

Wellington Management
Boston-headquartered Wellington Management, which oversees more than $1.3 trillion of AuM, has appointed Michael Trihy as head of portfolio management for its “evergreen” area of private investments, aimed at private clients.  

Trihy will manage portfolio construction and capital allocation across direct growth and venture investments, secondaries, and select fund investments,  Wellington said in a statement. Wellington’s Private Investing platform manages more than $9.7 billion in assets under management,

Before this role, Trihy, who has 15 years’ private equity and asset management experience, was a director and portfolio manager for Bow River Capital. Prior to that, he served as a portfolio manager at Partners Group. Trihy also worked at Red Rocks Capital and FirstBank.
